Was born in 1727, studied for the ministry, and graduated M.A., on 2nd
April 1747, at King''s College, Aberdeen. He was ordained, on 8th March
1756, at South Uist, and was translated to Barra on 25th July 1771. He
died on 7th April 1773 [FASTI ECCLESIAE SCOTICANAE, VII, p. 185.]. He
married, on 17th December 1764, Anne, daughter of the Rev. William
MacLeod, minister of Campbeltown (of the Uilinish MacLeod family), with
issue.
