Colin was succeeded by his eldest son William who was born in 1843 at
Maitland, New South Wales, and married Thirza Hester Jones on 17th
October 1888 at Newton, Herbert River, Queensland, but died without
issue at Moffat Street, Herberton, Queensland, on 6th January 1891, and
was succeeded in the representation of his family by his brother Donald
Alexander MacLean MacLeod.
