Known in tradition as a warrior who lived in Hacklete, stories are told
of his bad relations with the MacLean wife of his near relation, the
Macleod Chief of Lewis (presumably Old Rory Macleod of Lewis). He was
also remembered for his gullibility, and, under the MacKenzie rule in
Lewis, for slaying a water-horse. He had issue, at least, a son, name
unknown.
