Murdoch... possessed the tack of Gillen and is on record in the Harris
Estate Papers in 1745. He seems to have been married twice. By his
first wife, whose name is unknown, he had a daughter Margaret (called
Grannie Corlarach in the Glensaddell Genealogy), who married John
Campbell, tacksman of Corlarach in Skye, a son of Kenneth Campbell of
Uie (Aoidh) in Taransay, Harris, and Margaret, daughter of Colin
Campbell, a scion of the Strond family, also in Harris, with issue.
