himself at an arm of the Raisin River in 1786. One of Captain Hay''s sons
was a priest, mentioned in a plaque in St. Andrew''s Church, St. Andrews,
Ontario, viz. "Very Rev. George A. Hay, born in June 1807 in Glengarry,
ordained a priest in August 1822, died November 2nd 1876 -- pastor 40
years."
