Iain Ruadh Og MacLeod, VIII of Pabbay and Uig, succeeded his father Iain
Raudh Mor Macleod. He settled in Shildernish, Habost and later Leurbost
in 1816. He married Margaret, daughter of Alexander MacDonald
(Alasdair MacTharmaid), with issue, three sons, and three daughters,
who married locally.
