George MacLeod was also educated at Douai though he did not receive
holy orders. He succeeded his brother Torquil in Upper Bayble.
Torquil MacLeod was succeeded by his younger brother, George, a man of
great wit and intelligence which he used mercilessly against Seaforth
and his factor. According ot the Bannatyne Manuscript, he was a good
genealogist. He was twice married and he had at least one son, Kenneth,
who succeeded him in the tack of Upper Bayble.
