Catherine (Kate Gillen)... continued to live with her mother at Gillen
until 1828 and thereafter both removed to 74 Abbotsford Place,
Glasgow, where Dr. John MacLeod, her brother, supplied them with a
comfortable home. Kate Gillen, who was unmarried, died on or about
30th August 1853 and she was the last member of the Clan mac mhic
Alasdair Ruaidh to be buried in Kilmuir Churchyard, Dunvegan.
