Edward, whose great-great-grandson, Henry Wallace MacLeod was a
fighter pilot in World War II, winning the D.S.O., D.F.C., and Bar. He
destroyed at least thirteen enemy aircraft, mostly at Malta, before he
was shot down in a new tour of duty over Germany.
