of Neil eighth baron of Assynt, was designed by the title of Geanies.
"He married, Elisabeth, only child of Walter Ross of Nonckell, provost of
Taine, by whom he had a numerous issue, whereof only two sons and
three daughters came to maturity.
"1. Hugh, his heir.
"2. William, who was a merchant in Rotterdam.
"1st daughter, Jean, married to Mr. James Fraser minister of Alness.
"2. Isabel, married to Thomas Urquhart of Kinbeachie.
"3. Anne, unmarried.
"He was succeeded by his eldest son."
