Alexander emigrated to Glengarry in Upper Canada, where he was
drowned, but the date is not known. He married Janet, daughter of Mary
MacRae (who was his own second cousin), and her husband, Farquhar
MacRae of Fadoch, with issue.
Alexander MacLeod, as noted above, was drowned in Glengarry, and the
representation of the family of Swordlan was carried on by his eldest
son.
