Robert... was born, on 3rd March 1810, at Fort George, Inverness-shire,
and was appointed, on 6th October 1825, 2nd Lieutenant in 15th
(Yorkshire East Riding) Regiment of Foot, Lieutenant o 8th August 1827,
and Captain on 12th May 1848. He became Paymaster on 20th October
1848, and died, on 112th March 1852, in Ceylon [THE MACLEODS OF
ARNISDALE, pp. 18-19.]. Captain Robert MacGregor married, at Kyle
House, Skye, his cousin, Helen, eldest Daughter of Dr. Farquhar MacKinnon
of the MacKinnons of Kyle, without issue.
