Was born, in October 1889, and was educated at Glenalmond and
Sandhurst. He was commissioned in the West Yorkshire Regiment in
1909, and transferred to the 8th Gurkha Regiment in the same year. He
was promoted Major in 1926, and retired from the army in 1935. In the
First World War, he served in Mesopotamia and Palestine, and was twice
wounded. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1918, Major, later
Lieut.-Colonel Angus Menzies Kennedy married, in January 1921, Irene
Ronaldson Clark, with issue.
