John, the third son, resided in Sky until a few years ago, he joined a
company of emigrants to America. He married a Gentlewoman of the
family of M''Leod of Rasay, descended of Malcolm-Garve M''Leod, eighth
Baron of Lewis [Douglas''s Baronage], and had a family. Some of his sons
had set out for America a year or two before him.
