William... succeeded his maternal grandfather as tacksman of
Scorrybreck, and married Mary Jane, daughter of Alexander Wentworth
Cameron of Callart, oldest cadet of Lochiel, [MacKenzie: HISTORY OF THE
CAMERONS, p. 381.]
William MacLeod, with his family, emigrated, in 1883, to New Zealand,
where he took up farming. He died in May 1917.
