Born at Geelong in 1892, was educated at Junee High School. In 1911 he
attended the king''s Coronation in London with the Australian Cadets.
When the First World War broke out, he enlisted, and after a fine record
of service, being twice mentioned in despatches, he was killed in action
at Lone Pine, Gallipoli, on 8th August 1916. He was unmarried.
