Was born, on 19th February 1866, at Benyeo, Apsley, Victoria, and
educated at the Church of England Grammar School at Geelong. He joined
the staff of the Union Bank of Australia (Geelong Branch) in 1883, and
retired on 31st August 1928. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace
for New South Wales in 1901. He died in Africa in 1935. He married
Eliza Mary, daughter of George Peter Desailly, a very early colonist, with
issue.
