Roderick Alexander, was born on 23rd December 1869 at Secunderabad
in India. He also entered Shrewsbury School from 1883 to 1885. he left
with his two elder brothers and went to King''s College School in London
to complete his education. After a period of uncertainty, he decided on a
medical career. he entered the Medical School of the Westminster
Hospital where he qualified M.R.C.S. (Eng.) and L.R.C.P. (Lond.) in 1898,
after which he held the posts of Clinical Assistant in the Eye, Skin and
Ear, Nose and Throat Departments of the Hospital.
In 1900 he obtained the degree of M.D. (Brux.). In 1905 he became the
Medical Officer to the Pimlio Provident Dispensary and in the following
year he went into general practice at No 93 Charlwood Street, London.
He retired in 1927 to South Devon. He died in Lambeth Hospital on 18th
January 1955 and was remated at Kensal Green Cemetery.
He married on 16th May 1913 Miss Florence Dalley (she died in June
1949). There was no issue of the marriage.
