He and several other members of the Clan MacLeod supported James II,
and was killed at the Battle of the Boyne. He was married to Marion,
daughter of Kenneth Campbell, of the Campbells of Strond, Harris.

Norman MacLeod and other Skyemen supported King James II at and
after the Revolution of 1688, and were at the battle of the Boyne in
Ireland on 1st July 1690, [BANNATYNE MANUSCRIPT] when the Jacobites
were defeated by the army of King William. Among the Skyemen killed
was Norman of Glendale. He married Marion, daughter of Kenneth
Campbell of the Campbells of Strond, Harris, with issue.
Norman, who seems to have been the last of the family to occupy the
lands of Glendale, was succeeded in the representation of the first
family of Glendale by his eldest son.
