Was born on 3rd April 1910, and was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, on
28th August 1930, when he was attached to the 2nd Battalion of the
Highland Light Infantry at Cawnpore, India. In 1932, he was transferred
to the 2nd Battalion, 16th Punjab Regiment, of which he was Adjutant
from 1937 to 1941. In 1944, he was appointed 2nd in command of the
4/16 Punjab Regiment, and for the next three years he was in full
command of the Regiment in the Middle East and India. He retired on
30th January 1949, and now farms in Kenya. Lieut.-Colonel MacLEod
married, on 22nd march 1939, Susanah Nathalie Hall, daughter of E. A.
Osgood, Esquire, Farnham, Surrey, with issue.
