Was born on 15th December 1881, and was educated at Wellington
College and Sandhurst. He was commissioned in the Highland Light
Infantry in 1900, and was transferred, in 1908, to the 16th Punjab
Regiment. He retired from the army in 1929, with the rank of
Lieut.-Colonel, and died on 11th November 1943. He married, on 2nd May
1908, Kathleen Dorette, daughter of Malcolm Naynoe MacLeod, who was a
great-grandson of the Rev. Malcolm MacLeod, minister of Snizort, Skye, a
son of Malcolm MacLeod, 10th of the MacLeods of Raasay, with issue.
