service of the East India Company as a surgeon with the 58th Bengal
Native Infantry and later the 1st Assam Light Infantry. He retired in
1847 and died in 1872 at Dalvey. He married Charlotte, eldest daughter
of edward Humphrey Woodcock, East India Company, with issue.
