Among the many emigrants who left the Isle of Skye in the year 1770
was Norman McLeod, who settled near Fayetteville, North Carolina. He
brought with him his wife, three sons and two daughters. His sons were:
Norman, John and Roderick. A fourth son, Daniel, was born in America.
Their native language was Gaelic, and the girls never learned to speak
English, even after coming to America.

Do you have any information on Norman MacLeod the son of Donald
Macleod of Talisker, the isle of Skye? He married Jeanette Morrison
daughter of Alexander Morrison. The information I have is that he
immigrated to America around 1770 with his family.Where did he settle
in America? I can trace my family back to Norman and would like more
information on him Did he join the American army during the American
Revolution? Would appreciate any information you might have on him.
