The next tacksman in Berneray was called Angus, who could
genealogically be ''Mac mhic Iain''. We discover his name in the genealogy
of John Mor MacLeod, the great swordsman of Berneray. He was known
locally as Iain Mac Dhomhnaill mhic Aonghuis, i.e., John son of Donald son
of Angus. Thus Angus 4th, born in 1426, was John Mor''s grandfather. He
was succeeded in Berneray by his son, Donald.
