John... was the youngest son of John MacKinnon, 4th of the MacKinnons
of Kyle, and succeeded his brother, Farquhar, as 6th of Kyle. He was a
planter in India, where he died, on 21st February 1936, at Baikeuthpore,
United Provinces, as the result of a motor accident.
