Donald MacKay of Farre, who succeeded [his father Jye Roy MacKay],
...got a charter under the great seal, Donaldo MakKay in Strathnaver, of
the lands of Farre, Armadale, Strathy, Rinovie, etc. etc. anno 1539.
He married Helen Sinclair, but of what family we know not, by whom he
had a son and successor, Hutcheon MacKay of Farre.
