Angus... lived in the neighbourhood of Edinburgh, dying in February 1766,
in the sixtieth year of his age. He married, in 1733, a ''gentlewoman of

Angus, the eldest son of this generation, was the thenth descendent in a
male-line from John Bethune fifth laird of Balfour, and Marjory third
daughter of David Boswell of Balmuto. He resided the most of his life in
the neighbourhood of Edinburgh. Upon his father''s decease, he became
chief of the Bethunes of the island of Sky. He died February 1766, in the
60th year of his age.
In 1733, he married a Gentlewoman of the sirname of Horn; and by her
had six sons, Andrew, Neil, John, William, Peter and Angus; and four
daughters, Margaret, Jean, Marion and Euphame.
