Was in the Dutch Service, and married, on 17th January 1717, at Ypres,
Antoinetta, daughter of Lieutenant Stevenson, with issue.
William was appointed Lieutenant on 23rd March 1719, and served in
Cunningham''s Regiment at Tournai in 1720, and at Namur in 1723, but,
after 1725, his name does not appear in the ARMY LIST [CLAN MACLEOD
MAGAZINES, 1958 and 1959.]. Probably he died in the following year or
soon thereafter. In 1731, his immediate brother describes himself as
''fourth, but only surviving son'' of his father.
