He held Hamer and its pendicles of John MacLeod, 18th Chief, in
''feuferme'' for the yearly payment of 100 merks. He had a wadset over
lands in South Uist belonging to Allan MacDonald of Moidart, Captain of
Clanranald, Roderick MacLeod of Hamer was married to Margaret,
daughter of Lauchlan Mor MacKinnon, 16th Chief of the MacKinnons, with
issue.
Roderick MacLeod was one of the Curators of the MacLeod Estates, and
died before 1750. He was succeeded by his son.
