Was born on 19th January 1878, and was educated at Albany Academy,
Glasgow Academy, St. Ninian''s School, Moffat, Fettes College, Edinburgh,
and University of Glasgow, where he graduated M.A. in 1899, and B.D. in
1904. Licensed by the Presbytery of Penpont in 1903, he became an
assistant at Glencairn, and afterwards at St. Stephen''s in Edinburgh, and
at The Barony in Glasgow. On 28th September 1909, he was ordained at
Glengarry, and, on 22nd March 1911, was translated to Caputh in the
Presbytery of Dunkeld. He demitted his charge on 17th December 1948.
