22d September 1648, and married Janet daughter of sir Roderick
MacLeod of that ilk, but was lost soon thereafter in an expedition going
to the Lewes, and having no issue, the representation devolved upon his
cousin-german and heir-male, viz. Alexander, son of his uncle John."

storm on the North coast of Skye, aged 21, s.p., when the representation
devolved upon his cousin-german and heir, Alastair.
