Married Donald MacDonald, 3rd of the MacDonalds of Castleton, Sleat,
with issue, an only son, John, 4th of Castleton, Sheriff-Substitute of
Inverness-shire, who married his cousin, Margaret, daughter of Donald
MacLeod, 2nd of the MacLeods of Arnisdale, with issue. [The account of
the MacDonalds of Castleton given in CLAN DONALD (III, pp. 517-23) is
most inaccurate. A much more reliable genealogical account of this
family is given in MacKenzie''s HISTORY OF THE MACDONALDS (1881), pp.
277-83.]
