Flora... married Donald MacLeod of the Crackinish family; she emigrated
to Carolina and the only one of her family to return home was Captain
Alexander MacLeod of Vatten [RIN3001?], who married Helen MacLeod of
Ose, with issue, Flora, who married John Johnston, Edinburgh, and died at
Montrose in 1858. [See p. 3, this volume. This entry implies that
Captain Alexander MacLeod of Vatten is the son of Flora and Donald
MacLeod; however, p. 3 has Captain Alexander as son of William,
RIN2988, and Marion, RIN2989, MacLeod. It may be that the phrase "her
family" is used loosely here.]
