Was born, on 12th April 1889, and was educated at Guildford Grammar
School, Western Australia. he took up pastoral work at Minilya Station,
Carnarvon. At the outbreak of the First World War, he enlisted in the 8th
Battery, A.I.F., and served in Gallipoli, where he was wounded. On his
return home, he resumed pastoral work at Minilya, a portion of which he
inherited at his father''s death. Alexander John died, on 8th April 1934,
unmarried.
