There is scarcely anything known about this Chief of Raasay. He was
married but ther eis nothing known about his wife, not even her name is
recorded. By her he had issue: Malcolm.
He had other sons, but they were murdered in the Island of Isay.
The date of Alexander''s death is uncertain, but it appears to have been
only a few years before the Isay Massacre in which all but one of his
sons were killed. [See Sharp (1977) pp. 39 & 41. He was eventually
succeeded by his only surviving son.
