Was a doctor by profession, and spent a few years in Flanders and
Holland, apparently as a surgeon in the army. He spent the last years of
his life at Erray, near Tobermory, Mull. He married Catherine, only
daughter of Donald MacLean, 12th of the MacLeans of Coll, and his second
wife, Marion, daughter of Sir Norman MacLeod of Berneray, with issue.,
an only daughter, Mary, who died, unmarried, in 1826.
