2. Reginald, whose filiation is proved by a charter of King Robert II.,
dated at Arnele, 1st January 1372-3, confirming the grant which our
beloved son, John de Yle, made to Reginald de Yle, his son, of the land sof
Mudewort, witht he castle of Elantirym, the lands of Arassayk,
Morowore, Cnudeforde, the islands of Egge, Rume, Huwyste, with the
castle of Bynvawle, the islands of Barre and Here, with all the small
islands pertaining to the said islands; part of the lands of Swynwort, ,
Lettirlochetle, Ardegowar, Hawlaste, Lohabre, Lohe, Kylmald, and
Locharkage, extending to 420 marks of land, to be held by Reginald, and
hte heirs male of his body legitimately to be procreated, of the said John
de Yle and heirs. From Reginald descended the Macdonald of Moydart,
Clanronald, Glengary, Moror, and other branches.
